What is Your Major Stress in Life?

What is your major stress in life? A few nights back, while queuing in a drive thru, my kids & I were talking about our personalities. We’re making fun of ourselves, and had a good laugh about it. On a serious side, I blurted out that I was a people pleaser. I wanted people to like me, and yes, it has been a major source of stress for me. It has been that way for me. I want to please my parents, siblings, teachers, classmates, bosses, co workers, hubby, kids, etc. I feel disappointment in myself, if I perceive that I don’t come up to their expectations. I feel ashamed of myself, if I deemed that I fail my children, whether imagined or not. These negative feeling does take a toll on my wellbeing. It took years learning this feeling of inadequacy, so it also took years to unlearn it. It is only through God’s mercy and love,  that I am able to accept myself, love myself. It is only through God’s unconditional love, that I am able to say, that  I  AM  ENOUGH.  I am a work in progress,

Product Review: Maxi Peel Zero

Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty. - Coco Chanel
There are so many ads shown in media about skincare products for pimple & acne removal and at the same time for smoothening and lightening of facial skin. Usually, these are skincare products that exfoliate the skin to remove the skin impurities brought by exposure to nature, pollution and even the cosmetics you apply on your face. Exfoliating the skin would mean darkening of the skin first, then peeling, last is the reddening of the skin.

I have tried facial exfoliant before but after a few days of using it, I have to stop using it completely because it was so painful. My face felt raw, even the touch of the wind or water on my face was so painful. I have to cover my face with my hanky because even a whiff of wind hurts my face. My face became reddish, it looks I've been extremely sunburned.

I received sample products from SampleRoom and one of the items  I ordered was the Maxi Peel Zero. Maxi Peel Zero is advertised as a micro exfoliant fluid with zero peelings and zero redness. Now, the line "zero peelings and zero redness", surely caught my eyes. That's what I want, an exfoliant that won't peel my face or reddens my skin. I want to try it too, anyway, if it won't deliver its promise, I'll just stop using it.

So here goes my review.

Product: Maxi Peel Zero, 50 ml
Price:      Php 75.00

Benefits:

  • It prepares your skin's outer layer by unclogging your facial pores with the help of BHA Micro Exfoliants.
  • The next layer of skin is relieved from all dead skin cells, acne scars and blemishes through the power if AHA Micro Exfoliants.
  • Going deeper, it loosens the build-up of skin contaminants and helps prevent the development of acne.
  • Finally, Vitamins B3, C & E protect each layer on the inside and lightens your skin tone on the outside.

Directions for Use:
  • Apply on cotton and spread on face and neck.
  • Use at night before bedtime.
  • Use sun protection cream during the day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Before use:

Upon opening the bottle of Maxi Peel Zero, I noticed that it has a pleasant smell. The smell is not strong or tangy, unlike the exfoliant I used before.

During use:

On my first use, there was a slight stinging sensation, when I applied it on my face. The same thing happened when I applied it on the second day, but it wasn't painful at all. On the 3rd day and days that followed, the stinging was gone, no discomfort at all. And it is true, with Maxi Peel Zero, there are zero peelings and zero redness. My face didn't felt or look raw as I was using this product. What I observe is, my nose is relieved from whiteheads and my skin lightened. I had a pimple along my cheek but it dried easily. I just don't know if the pimple was the result of my using Maxi Peel Zero or from the BB cream, I newly tried, the same time, I started using this product.

Final Verdict:

Maxi Peel Zero, true to its promise, delivers what it advertises, zero peelings and zero redness.

Recommendation:

In a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being the highest, I highly recommend it and rate it  5 stars. Aside from the fact that indeed with Maxi Peel Zero, there is zero peelings and zero redness, it also smoothens and lightens your complexion. I would go further and say it brightens the face too because it unclogs your facial pores and works to relieve the skin from dead skin cells.

Reminder:

When using Micro Peel Zero, use sunscreen and avoid excessive sun exposure until after 1 week of product usage.

And so my midlife sisters, you may want to try Maxi Peel Zero and make it a part of your skincare. We have to take care very well of our skin especially now in our midlife years, and Coco Chanel says it best "it is up to you merit the face you have at fifty".

If you had tried this product, care to share with the rest your experience with it? Just leave your comments below.

Middle life is beautiful.

Till next time, God bless.

  1. They said Maxi peel could only be used for 2 months. After that, you would need stop and let your face rest. Does it include Maxi peel zero?

  5. How many shades does it lighten the skin?

  6. First, the lightening of the skin would depend on your natural skin tone. I am not an expert but what I can share is my personal experience in using Maxi peel zero. I am a morena so although my skin lightened I did not become mestisa-looking ! 🥰

    1. Hi! If it’s your first time to use Maxipeel Zero then it would be safe to use Maxipeel Sunscreen Protection Cream. I say this because, products from the same brand work well with each other. These products are formulated to complement the usage of each other. If your skin is not prone to skin irritations then you can use any brand of sunscreen together with Maxipeel Zero.🥰

  12. I have used Maxi peel zero for almost 2 month to aid help on my acne breakout. True to its promise, I had no redness but I had micro peeling only on the acne part. I experienced purging and the healing process was really slow. I ditch my maxi peel zero and is planning to switch to Maxi peel exfoliant solutions for better results.
