Product Review: Maxi Peel Zero

Nature gives you the face you have at twenty; it is up to you to merit the face you have at fifty. - Coco Chanel
There are so many ads shown in media about skin care products for pimple & acne removal and at the same time for smoothening and lightening of facial skin. Usually these are skin care products that exfoliates the skin to remove the skin impurities brought by exposure to nature, pollution and even the cosmetics you apply on your face. Exfoliating the skin would mean darkening of the skin first, then peeling, last is the reddening of the skin.

I have tried facial exfoliant before but after a few days of using it  I have to stop using it completely because, it was so painful. My face felt raw, even the touch of the wind or water on my face was so painful. I have to cover my face with my hanky because even a whiff of wind hurts my face. My face became reddish, it looks I've been extremely sun burned.

I received sample products from SampleRoom and one of the items  I ordered was the Maxi Peel Zero. Maxi Peel Zero is advertise as a micro exfoliant fluid with zero peeling and zero redness. Now, the line "zero peeling and zero redness", surely caught my eyes. That's what I want, an exfoliant that won't peel my face or reddens my skin. I want to try it too, anyway, if it won't deliver its promise, I'll just stop using it.

So here goes my review.

Product: Maxi Peel Zero, 50 ml
Price:      Php 75.00

Benefits:

  • It prepare your skin's outer layer by unclogging your facial pores with the help of BHA Micro Exfoliants.
  • The next layer of skin is relieved from all dead skin cells, acne scars and blemishes through the power if AHA Micro Exfoliants.
  • Going deeper, it loosens the build-up of skin contaminants and helps prevent the development of acne.
  • Finally, Vitamins B3, C & E protect each layer on the inside and lightens your skin tone on the outside.

Directions for Use:
  • Apply on cotton and spread on face and neck.
  • Use at night before bedtime.
  • Use sun protection cream during the day to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.

Before use:

Upon opening the bottle of Maxi Peel Zero, I noticed that it has a pleasant smell. The smell is not strong or tangy, unlike the exfoliant I used before.

During use:

On my first use, there was a slight stinging sensation, when I applied it on my face. The same thing happened, when I applied it on the second day, but it wasn't painful at all. On the 3rd day and days that followed, the stinging was gone, no discomfort at all. And it is true, with Maxi Peel Zero, there is zero peeling and zero redness. My face didn't felt or look raw as I was using this product. What I observe is, my nose is relieved from white heads and my skin lightened. I had a pimple along my cheek but it dried easily. I just don't know if the pimple was the result of my using Maxi Peel Zero or from the BB cream, I newly tried, the same time, I started using this product.

Final Verdict:

Maxi Peel Zero, true to its promise, delivers what it advertises, zero peeling and zero redness.

Recommendation:

In a scale of 1 to 5 stars, with 5 being the highest, I highly recommend it and rate it  5 stars. Aside from the fact that indeed with Maxi Peel Zero, there is zero peeling and zero redness, it also smoothens and lightens your complexion. I would go further and say it brightens the face too because it unclogs your facial pores and works to relieve the skin from dead skin cells.

Reminder:

When using Micro Peel Zero, use sunscreen and avoid excessive sun exposure until after 1 week of product usage.

And so my midlife sisters, you may want to try Maxi Peel Zero and make it a part of your skin care. We have to take care very well of our skin especially now in our midlife years, and Coco Chanel says it best "it is up to you merit the face you have at fifty".

If you had tried this product, care to share with the rest your experience with it? Just leave your comments below.

Middle life is beautiful.

Till next time, God bless.

Singapore:Day 2 Kampong Glam, Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore

I was supposed to start the 2nd part of my Singapore trip last night but because of a lot of work at the office (making up for the days I was away from work), I was so tired when I arrived home. I'm missing Singapore already so I'd better start my blog right now!

Anyway, day 2 started earlier today. While Charmi was still sleeping, I sneaked out of bed and took a bath. The bathrooms at Meadows Hostel where we stayed were very clean but you have to bring along your own toiletries because they are not provided. No need to bring towels, they will provide it, and before I forget when we checked in, the receptionist gave us 2 free adapters. By the way, I booked our hostel via Booking.com. No credit card  or prepayment was required, I paid in cash at the hostel.
Before taking a bath, I took my breakfast and I have the pantry by myself. The pantry has an overview of the sky rise buildings in Singapore and I was enjoying the sprinkling of rain. It was a beautiful morning, no hurries,…

How can Midlife Women Live Longer?

How long do you want to live? 80, 90, 100? But the real question is," how can we live longer?". To live longer entails keeping our bodies in good health, in good shape, nurturing our spiritual growth, and caring for our family. According to data, a woman turning 65 today can expect to live on average until 86.6 years of age. I stumbled upon in internet a life expectancy calculator, this calculator computes the additional life expectancy of a person. This is how it works: I input my date of birth then it calculated that I will have an additional life expectancy of 33.6 years! Wow!

The truth is there are several factors that contributes to increase or decrease in life expectancy. These are:

1.  Current health- are you in good health? suffering from an ailment?
2.  Lifestyle - are you a smoker? drinks excessively? does not exercise? parties too much?
3.  Family history - is there a member of your family who has cancer, diabetes, hypertension?

Smoking, drinking too much alcohol, …

Korean Skin Whitening Product for Php 13.00 only

Anyong haseyo (pronounced ahn-yo-ha-say-yoh)! Korean beauty is the mania these days, everyone is all agog with the perfectly, glowing, white skin of the oppas and unnies. While browsing over the internet, I came across this product Seoul White Korea, I looked it up and learned it is sold at Watsons. After enjoying the sweltering heat of summer in the beaches, my natural morena skin became darker and duller. I'm not after achieving a fair complexion like the Koreans, what I want is to bring back the color of my skin to its natural glory in the shortest time. So, my midlife women- sisters, let us try these beauty products and see if we can incorporate it in our daily skin care routine.

I visited a Watsons store near our house and went directly to the skin care racks but no Seoul White Korea in sight, so I walked over at the other side of the store and there I saw my Seoul White Korea! There was Seoul White Korea Soap and Seoul White Korea cream in tube and sachet. I took down the ba…
